Dash is designed to work entirely on your device. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information to our servers or third parties.

Local Device Data

The app stores the following information locally on your device:

• Tasks and events you create (titles, notes, dates, locations)
• Priority levels, tags, and recurrence patterns
• Photo attachments and links you add to items
• Reminder schedules and notification preferences
• App settings and user preferences

Device Permissions

Dash requests the following permissions:

• Notifications: To send you reminders about tasks and events
• Camera/Photo Library: To attach photos to your items (optional)

You can revoke these permissions at any time through your device's Settings app.

2. How We Use Your Information

Since we don't collect any personal information, there is no data to use, share, or sell. All functionality happens locally on your device:

• Task and event management
• Natural language parsing of input text
• Reminder notifications
• Recurrence scheduling
• Timeline organization and filtering
• App functionality and user experience

3. Data Storage and Security

All your data is stored locally on your device using secure storage systems:

• SQLite Database: Your tasks and events are stored using a local database
• Capacitor Storage: Files and photos are stored using secure file system APIs
• Device Encryption: Your data benefits from your device's built-in encryption

We do not have access to your data, and it never leaves your device unless you explicitly share it through your device's native sharing features.

4. Third-Party Services

Dash integrates with the following iOS system services:

• UserNotifications Framework: To send local notifications and reminders
• Camera API: To capture photos for attachments (if you grant permission)
• Photo Library: To select photos for attachments (if you grant permission)

These integrations happen entirely on your device and do not involve any third-party servers or data transmission.

Natural Language Processing

Dash uses the open-source library "chrono-node" for date parsing. This processing happens entirely on your device - no text is sent to external servers.

5. Data Sharing

We do not share, sell, or transmit your personal information to any third parties because we don't collect it in the first place. Your data remains private and secure on your device.

6. Data Retention

Your data is stored locally on your device for as long as you have the app installed. When you delete the app, all associated data is removed from your device.

7. Children's Privacy

Dash is not intended for children under 13 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. You are advised to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
